Inspire started with a simple idea: create a place where people could step away from everyday life, reconnect and leave feeling inspired.
Set on six waterfront acres in Coboconk, Inspire has grown from three thoughtfully designed cabins into a four-season destination for stays, retreats, weddings and private gatherings.

We created Inspire to be more than a place to stay. We wanted to build a place where people could slow down, reconnect and leave feeling inspired.

The Founders

Inspire Beach Resort was created by Sarah Larbi, Harry James and Joe Ferrara with a shared vision of creating something different in the Kawarthas.
What began with six acres on Shadow Lake and three uniquely designed cabins has continued to evolve into a four-season waterfront destination built around connection, experiences and bringing people together.
Today, Inspire welcomes couples, families and groups for relaxing stays, while also creating a home for retreats, corporate gatherings, intimate weddings and private celebrations. The founders remain actively involved in the resort and its next chapter: the Inspire Lodge & Suites.
The Land

Inspire Beach Resort sits on six waterfront acres on Shadow Lake in Coboconk, Ontario, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Kawarthas.
With approximately 400 feet of private resort shoreline, guests can slow down by the water, gather around the fire, paddle the lake, relax in the sauna or simply find a quiet place to take it all in.
We're approximately two hours from Toronto, close to Balsam Lake Provincial Park and just minutes from the heart of Coboconk. Whether you arrive for a summer weekend, a fall retreat, a winter escape or a spring celebration, Inspire was designed to be experienced year-round.
The land is recognized traditional territory of the Mississauga Anishinaabeg, who stewarded these lakes long before any of the names changed. We acknowledge that history every day we're here.

The Beginning
Three cabins. Three completely different experiences.
Inspire began with three purpose-built, two-bedroom cabins, each designed with its own personality: The Beach, The Vintage Hollywood and The Rustic Lodge.
Each cabin features two queen bedrooms, a full kitchen, fireplace, private deck and its own private hot tub, giving guests the comforts of home with the feeling of escaping somewhere completely different.
Built for all four seasons, the cabins became the foundation for everything Inspire is growing into today.
The Next Chapter
The Inspire Lodge & Suites.
Grand opening event December 5, 2026; stays from December 6. The Inspire Lodge & Suites transforms what's possible at Inspire. The new Lodge adds more than 1,000 sq. ft. of four-season indoor gathering space, full audio/visual capabilities, an LLBO-licensed bar, catering kitchen, additional bathrooms and a large outdoor deck.
Upstairs, two new two-bedroom suites each accommodate up to six guests. Both suites are fully accessible, and an elevator provides access to the second floor.
Together with our three existing cabins, Inspire will accommodate up to 24 overnight guests, creating a true destination for multi-day retreats, corporate gatherings, family reunions, intimate weddings and private celebrations.
